3 months agoWe initially booked our wedding at Rancho Moonrise, but ultimately decided to cancel after a concerning experience. Prior to booking, we let the venue know we would be visiting with my fiancé’s parents and staying overnight so they could experience the property. When we arrived around 4:00 PM, there was very loud music coming from a neighboring property that continued until we left around 11:30 PM. The music was clearly audible throughout the grounds and inside the tent we had reserved for the night. I’ve included a video so others can understand the level of noise. This is not the sort of situation I would want to find myself in on the day of my wedding or put my guests staying there through. Afterward, we reached out to the venue to ask whether this was a one off situation and whether they could ensure it would not happen on our wedding day. We were told they could not guarantee it wouldn’t happen again, and would not be able to intervene if it did. We understand that venues cannot control everything outside their property. However, given the financial commitment involved in booking a wedding venue, we were hoping for more reassurance or a proactive plan to address potential disruptions. Ultimately, we felt uncomfortable moving forward without any guarantee or contingency plan in place. For couples considering Rancho Moonrise, I would recommend asking specific questions about neighboring properties and noise management before booking, especially if having a quiet, controlled atmosphere is important to you.

7 months agoI brought my mom to Rancho Moonrise to celebrate her birthday by the pool, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We brought our own snacks and picked up drinks from Rancho's on-site mini bar and we enjoyed those while we lounged. I’ve also spent a few sunny pool days here with friends and attended a wellness day retreat — every single visit has been absolutely wonderful and thoughtfully planned. From the sweet hospitality upon entry at the front desk (shout out to Monet!!💓) to the little touches like ice cream service by the pool. The entire setting is just beautiful — peaceful, thoughtfully designed, and easy to relax into. Another highlight for me is their little shoppe. I never leave without picking up a few unique, artisan finds to embellish my home and life with. Rancho Moonrise is truly special, and I can’t wait for my first overnight stay to experience it in a whole new way. Love you RM team !!!

6 months agoI totally forget to review this place because after having the most amazing day I just ate and rested under the stars. This place to me is a gem 💎 Even though I didn't stay in the cabins they are simple but just what you need for any guests no matter the needs. The pool and landscape are fantastic. You will not regret staying here for a few nights to unplug and unwind. I will say with the amount I paid for dry camping I expected to at least have wifi connection while at the pool and I didn't and I feel like if you lack to offer the amenities that you offer I should have received a small discount for the inconvenience really.

10 months agoRancho Moon is an extraordinary escape that feels a world away, despite being so close to Austin. This chic and elegant venue is perfect for special occasions like bridal showers and weddings, and it's also incredibly family-friendly. I've even seen kids happily enjoying the pool area. The staff is super friendly, adding to the welcoming and laid-back atmosphere. They truly make every visit a pleasure.I've had the pleasure of attending several unique events here, including a vibrant pool party, a serene yoga class, and a charming Christmas bazaar. Each event was distinct and thoughtfully planned, showcasing the venue's versatility and attention to detail. The cabins are a true highlight, providing a luxurious and peaceful retreat. I'm already looking forward to returning for an intimate getaway with my husband!

7 months agoLove LOVE loveeeee staying here with my family. Discovered this jem in October and have already stayed twice in one month. Great place to stay, rain or shine. The tents are elevated and secure so when it rained our second stay, it was the perfect combination of glamping and dealing with the wilderness. Enjoying a storm in the comfort of a comfy bed and fluffy pillows. It was honestly the highlight of our stay, funny enough. They have amazing cute events perfect for the family to enjoy. We recently attended a Halloween movie night and horse back riding and can’t wait to come back again. Definitely grab your favorite cowboy boots and put them to use. They have tents that include bathrooms but their shared bathrooms are so luxurious, my family prefers to just slide our boots on and walk to the restroom [we have a toddler]. They have the comforts of home, including warm water, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Again the showers were amazing both stays, rain or shine. When it rained, we doordashed some raincoats and it was a perfect little adventure. The location is perfect, we brought light groceries [mini fridge provided], but also were able to doordash food here and there. Bill Millers breakfast Tacos, last minute necessities from walgreens, ect… Thankful for every single experience Rancho Moonrise has provided for my family and this is our new spot for a staycation. Far enough you really get to enjoy the outdoors while also close enough to everything you might need. Fyi not every tent has a clothing rack, as pictured in the family safari tent [bunk bed]. We have stayed once in a safari tent with one bunk bed and one queen bed, then another time with two queen beds. No cooking facilities, so plan ahead, whether thats a small grocery pickup/delivery. Beautiful, unique and vintage merch sold in shop, the bar is in the shop as well so you can purchase food and beverages [alchohol + coffee] while they are open. Could travel with family, friends, solo, thats another thing so great about this place.
