Starhill Farms

StarHill handled our wedding a year ago and we returned for our anniversary. We view the place as heaven in Texas. Views, peacefulness, wildlife, activities, country cabin atmosphere, clean, and therapeutic in every way. The owners and management are 5 star whether they are helping plan an event for just handling you stay with them. I can not say enough about how much we love StarHill farms.

Great views, relaxing environment, and a perfect spot for a weekend getaway from the city! Brought my dog and he was in heaven with the green open spaces and all the animals. Highly recommend but take advantage of the activities at the farm, which we did not have time to partake.

Another remarkable time at Star Hill. Started making annual trips several years ago and will continue every year. The property is simply pastoral and serene. Great for long walks, watching sunsets, birdwatching, fishing. Owners and staff are some of the nicest and most gracious people you will ever meet. Such great hosts. I could go on and on about the property and cabins but do yourself a favor and go find out for yourself. I 100% guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

My family comes to stay a few days at StarHill Farms at least once a year, though we are trying to visit more often! The cabins and amenities, views, and a sense of absolute peace that comes with staying here are just phenomenal! It's hard to know where to start. Stacy masterfully organizes each stay and does a brilliant job helping us feel perfectly at home. It's so rare these days to find someone who puts so much care into our experience. She is responsive, thorough, gracious, and generous, and we are so grateful for her! The staff behind the scenes at StarHill also needs a shout-out. I have no idea how they accomplish so much while being practically invisible to guests. The cabins are always meticulously cleaned and prepped, the property beautifully maintained, the animals healthy and happy, and a feeling of safety / security that we don't tend to experience elsewhere. Just an amazing crew all around! The owners do such a wonderful job updating the grounds and investing in superior guest experiences! They recently added a pickleball court - never played pickleball in our lives but we were so happy to try it out! The appliances in the cabins are well-kept and modern, so you can feel perfectly at home preparing a meal if you're in the mood! They've also carefully planned all sorts of wonderful little surprises, from complimentary StarHill wine and jam to beautifully maintained walking paths and more. I could go on and on. We have stayed at a couple of different cabins here and each has had its own charm and unique qualities. The Ranch house is our current favorite, opening up into a stunning view of the lake and serene cattle that graze in the pasture just past the backyard fence each morning. It's spacious and comfortable! The Hinze cabin is a bit smaller, but situated near the stables and closer to another small lake and walking paths. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either of them! StarHill Farms transports you to another time - you feel instantly removed from hectic city life and a part of an idyllic Texas countryside. If you've never experienced a perfect sunset, blissfully starry skies, and a quiet like no other, you're in for a real treat. I can't imagine how much work goes into making this such a magical place, but we are always so grateful to stay here. Very highly recommended!!

This was our second stay at Star Hill Farms. We love the location—only a short trip from Houston, but really in the country. Our cabin was perfect. Everything in it was simple but well done. Very clean. A great place to get away from it all.
