Enjoyed a few restful and serene days/nights at Tres Lunas to ring in the new year and couldn't of picked a better place. The freshly made breakfast every morning was delicious and we we opted for a 4 course meal on new years eve which was way beyond expectations! Kelly and her husband were perfect hosts and love interacting with their guests..felt like staying a friends house. The sheriff's office was very comfortable and views of the surrounding pastures at dusk and dawn were picture perfect as well as taking walkabouts on the grounds with our "surrogate" ranch dogs was the cherry on top of our perfect stay. Can't wait to return.. Drew & Claudia B.

Where do I start about Tres Lunas… my husband and I were planning a weekend trip for my birthday (during the government shutdown). The wait time in airport screening was reported from IAH as ….. much longer than we wanted to wait. We decided to find a location within driving distance that was equal to or less than the reported wait time…. My husband found Tres Lunas. The reviews mentioned that the road in was a dirt road. It definitely is a dirt road; however, the magic at the end is worth it. When we first arrived, as the sun was setting in the November sky, the deer were grazing on the hillside to our right and the cows in the valley to the left. There is no light pollution here. You can view the beautiful stars and hear the natural sounds of the region. It is truly serene. Check-in was easy. We were met and given additional information about Tres Lunas and had the opportunity to ask about dining options in the area for the evening. Dinner recommendations were amazing/fun; however, if you have the opportunity to prerequest dining at Tres Lunas, I recommend you do so. We did not do this, but based on the amazing breakfasts that were included, you really cannot go wrong. We stayed in the “Sheriff's Office”. Because we were driving versus flying, we had decided to bring our two dogs with us (well-behaved Boxers). The “Sheriff’s Office” is one of the available units that Tres Lunas offers that is “dog-friendly”. It was perfect. We had our own cute, rustic cabin and the dogs had their own low-fenced courtyard. There are many acres that you can walk with or without your dogs. There is no TV in the “Sheriff’s Office,” however, the wifi is great if you need to stay plugged in. The beds are amazingly comfortable. There is an in-room coffee pot, but Kelly has coffee available in the main house by 8:30 as well. DO NOT MISS BREAKFAST!. It is amazing! Although we did not use the pool or hot tub, we did enjoy the area to sit and experience the sunsets, watch the wildlife, and completely unplug. We were able to enjoy both Mason and Fredericksburg while we were in the area. I definitely recommend Tres Lunas and am already looking forward to our return trip.

I’m not usually the one who writes reviews—that’s my wife’s specialty—so the fact that I’m writing this should tell you everything. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This was truly the most peaceful, relaxing experience we’ve ever had. We came for a weekend to celebrate our honeymoon, expecting a boutique hotel. Instead, we arrived at what felt like a friend’s home—warm, welcoming, and effortlessly comfortable. It was the kind of place where you can immediately exhale and just be. The food was exceptional and clearly crafted with care. One evening, we had a candlelit dinner in an outdoor chapel, which was incredibly romantic. We brought our own wine with no corkage fee, and considering everything we received, the value was outstanding. The owners are wonderful—kind, genuinely funny, and so sweet together. They’ve been married since high school, and watching how they interact is heartwarming. Their energy sets the tone for the whole property. The views are breathtaking, the rooms offer complete privacy, and the ranch is unbelievably quiet. At night, the sky fills with more stars than you could ever imagine. This was our first stay, but it absolutely won’t be our last.

Absolutely amazing experience. I was looking for a quiet remote getaway, and Tres Lunes was better than I could’ve expected. It is located in beautiful Hill country with nothing but nature as far as you can see. It’s a small family owned resort and the owners could not be nicer or greater hosts. The food was incredible, better than anything you can expect at an overpriced trendy restaurant. My wife and I are already planning our next trip.

Tres Lunas is pure perfection where country meets luxury. Brian and Kelly are the best hosts, and the food is beyond incredible. We had the four-course dinner two nights in a row and it was flawless, and breakfast each morning was just as outstanding. The views are unbeatable the infinity pool, spa, and star-filled skies (you can even see the Milky Way!) made it magical. It’s close to Fredericksburg, but the little town of Mason is a must-visit too. This is hands-down my #1 spot in the Texas Hill Country. Perfect for a romantic getaway, anniversary, or anyone wanting a luxurious countryside escape. I can’t wait to go back!
