a week agoI'll start by saying I never leave reviews but I was so impressed with everything about my experience. I had my wedding here last month and it could not have been more perfect. Leighanne and her team really went above and beyond in every aspect. There was a large chance of rain and their team were magnificent in trouble shooting. It ended up not raining but it was nice feeling so supported at what was a stressful time a few days before the event. I would highly recommend this venue; not only for its beauty but for the people that run it. I cannot say enough good things about our experience and all of our guests agreed!

a week agoI had previously visited The Oak Atelier about six years ago and remembered absolutely loving the beauty of the venue. My experience back then was wonderful, so I was excited to return this past weekend for a mini photography session. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience. My session was scheduled for 4:40 PM, and I arrived on time. However, my photographer informed me that she was running a few minutes behind because she had been waiting on venue staff to prepare the area. I was completely understanding of the delay, as things happen! Unfortunately, when it was finally our turn, we were rushed out of the space by another photographer and their group, despite still having 1 minute and 40 seconds remaining in our scheduled session. All we needed was another minute to finish our photos, but the situation quickly became uncomfortable and unnecessarily tense. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled by a staff member named Leann. Rather than showing any understanding or attempting to help resolve the issue, she came across as cold, dismissive, and unhelpful. I even asked if we could simply use the area out front to finish a couple of photos, and that seemed to be an issue as well. I find it incredibly disappointing that photographers and their clients are paying to use such a beautiful venue, yet can be treated with such little empathy or consideration, especially when the initial delay was due to the venue not having the space ready on time. A beautiful venue means very little when the customer service leaves such a negative impression. We weren't asking for special treatment or additional time beyond what was scheduled. We simply wanted the opportunity to finish the session we had paid for. What should have been a fun and memorable experience turned into an unnecessarily stressful one. Unfortunately, I can confidently say I will not be booking another photography session associated with this property. I sincerely hope management takes situations like this into consideration, because paying clients and photographers deserve to be treated with kindness, professionalism, and respect.
