The main house was constructed in 1916 and served as a doctor’s office. Over the years it has been a private residence, apartments in the 1970’s and 80’s and was fully renovated in 1990 by A.D. Zucht D.D.S. who also operated a hot air balloon business! Dr. Zucht sold the inn to Joanna Gardener, who sold it to Roland Cavazos D.D.S. in 2014. SInce then the Inn has undergone many renovations for the increased comfort of guests.

months agoWe had our family get together, so having individual rooms away from the main house was perfect. The owners communicated well, very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect for easy access to the riverwalk, but away from the busy/noisy area. Walking distance to most activities (.5 mile). Rooms were clean, bed was super comfortable, and nice clean bedding. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious (French toast was extra yummy). The only downside for us was the A/C was a little loud when it kicked on, and the street sweeper came through the street picking up and leaf blowing for a couple of hours after midnight (right outside our room). Overall, a great stay and definitely recommend for a B&B experience!

months agoA hidden gem on the river walk! This stunning B&B is full of charm and has great access to the river walk! Less than a 10 minute river walk stroll from restaurants and activities, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing stay. What made our stay extra special was the people! Roland was so welcoming and always made a point to ask about our day each morning! Margaret was so accommodating in getting us checked in and out, and makes the most delicious breakfast! Stay here truly feels like home with people who care about making your visit memorable and comfortable. Free parking was a bonus!! Would love to visit San Antonio again just to stay here!

months agoOur stay at the Inn on the Riverwalk was exactly the relaxing getaway my wife and I needed. From the moment we walked into our room, we felt an immediate sense of comfort and tranquility. The room was impeccably clean, and the bed was incredibly soft, making it the perfect place to shut out the world and unwind. We set the room to our ideal temperature—cold and cozy—and slept like babies, truly the best rest we've had in a long time. The breakfast each morning was a delightful start to our day, with every bite feeling like a special treat. This was hands down the best quick getaway we've had in a long time, and we will definitely be returning soon! Highly recommended!

months agoWonderful B&B! Honestly speaking, I am more a luxury hotel kind of guy, but I must say I was stunned by the Inn on the Riverwalk! Owners are really nice and know what hospitality means. The room was nice and the house very charming. Oh, and the breakfast was succulent! The location is also very convenient, very close to the downtown area, Fort Alamo and the fantastic San Antonio Riverwalk.

months agoWife and I stayed for two nights in the Yellow Rose Penthouse. The Inn is lovely: old and creaky but very well maintained and clean! The penthouse has a private balcony which was lovely. The bathroom was excellent and a great shower. Onsite parking was perfect. Great location to the Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. Roland was a great host: very friendly and helpful with advice. The staff made a great breakfast and coffee which were perfect to start the day in San Antonio. Check-in was super easy. Highly recommend.
