a month agoUpdate: see lack of apology (“I’m sorry you feel that way”), excuses, and lies in owner response below. What a lame, lack of accountability, public response. There were no technical difficulties with the fountain - your staff forgot to turn it on. We heard them call the maintenance man to turn it on in real time when we were already down there. We were left alone in the rain by the creek with no way to call staff, what about our safety? Only guest safety matters? Also, our rain plan went into effect the day prior, not during the wedding due to sudden rain. Stop making excuses and take responsibility for dropping the ball on our wedding. If yall actually cared, things would have been overhauled long before our review and awful experience. If you’re considering booking Shiraz Garden for your wedding, DON’T. The venue manager was difficult to work with and gave our planner so much grief. I truly think the attitudes turned sour when we decided not to book their in-house planner. You lose access to the property if you book outside of their preferred vendors (fine, in the contract), you can ONLY visit the site once on your tour, but the contract states that you/your vendors can come to the open houses… YET in 1.5 yrs, they didn’t hold a single open house… false advertising, but hey you can pay hundreds $ HOURLY if you want to come out again. Gross. For a wedding venue, I question how many weddings they host. All of the emails and docs they send are outdated by YEARS. They’re too lazy and uncaring to update their templates but are trusted to manage a wedding? We should have known better bc they dropped the ball on wedding day. Shiraz did not honor our schedule, they DIDNT TURN ON the fountain that we specifically documented and turned into Shiraz for our pre ceremony photos - they waited to do any of this until we were already in the woods, in the heat and mosquitos, running behind our schedule. For context, it takes 10-15 min for the water to reach the bottom). Why ask for the planning sheets to just IGNORE them? Shiraz never brought our family down and then disappeared in the golf carts for another 15 min to retrieve our wedding party (leaving my husband, I, and our photographer alone with no venue staff or way to call them). Our party was waiting for the staff to get them and the staff was riding around helping the caterer (?) and giving guests rides from the parking lot that is a VERY short walk to the ceremony area… while leaving us in the woods by the creek for 30+ minutes. This put our entire wedding behind schedule. When they came back with our party, we were sweating, makeup melting and just wanted to get out of the heat. I asked why they didn’t bring our family down - “well couples usually do those photos after the ceremony” - no apology, no accountability, just blaming us… Additionally, they let our photographer & my husband get soaked in the rain because they only brought one golf cart and shuttled us in multiple trips. The ceremony (had to move due to rain, fine and not their fault) but bc of this, we asked directly and specifically multiple times for them to drive me behind the building so our guests wouldn’t see my dress before the ceremony - they disregarded that and drove me in front of guests TWICE, my planner had to grab a table linen to hold up between myself and our seated guests so they wouldn’t see me. Later, the staff asked my wedding party to clean early, like 2 hrs before the end of the event due to miscommunication from the venue about cleaning the bridal cottage vs pulling reception decor. Also, be aware you won’t have access to the indoor area. When we booked, they said the indoor area would be clean and ready by our wedding, surprise - it wasn’t. Fine for us bc our rain backup was a covered outdoor area, but keep in mind with the price tag, you don’t get access to that huge indoor space. Shiraz was terrible to work with, unorganized, unprepared, and disrespectful, and I would NEVERRRR recommend this venue to any couples. We expected more and were VERY let down.

7 months agoMy husband and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at the breathtaking Shiraz Garden, and we can confidently say it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. One of the highlights of choosing Shiraz Garden as our wedding venue was the convenience of having everything in one spot. The venue itself is a hidden gem, with its lush greenery, enchanting pathways, and elegant architecture creating a truly magical ambiance. Throughout the planning process, we had the privilege of working with Brittani, one of the in-house coordinators at Shiraz Garden. From the moment we met her, we knew we were in capable hands. Brittani's patience, professionalism, and genuine care made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. She listened attentively to our vision and offered valuable suggestions. On our wedding day, Brittani continued to impress us with her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. She seamlessly coordinated with the vendors, managed the timing of each event, and ensured that we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the entire celebration. Her calm and reassuring presence allowed us to relax and truly savor every moment of our special day. The staff that worked with Brittani also deserves special recognition for their exceptional service. Their professionalism and dedication truly made a difference and added an extra layer of joy to our celebration. Lastly, we cannot recommend Shiraz Garden highly enough. If you are searching for a wedding venue that offers both natural beauty and exceptional service, look no further. We will forever cherish the memories created at Shiraz Garden. 🥳🥳

9 months agoShiraz Garden didn’t just host our wedding. They made it feel like the universe paused for us for a day. The place is unreal. Hill Country views, the river, the trees, the lighting… it’s the kind of scenery that makes even the guys who never take photos suddenly pull out their phones like they’re National Geographic photographers. From the beginning, communication was on point. Brittani and the team answered every question, even the dumb ones I asked. They guided us through decisions we didn’t realize mattered until the day came together, and they did it with patience and genuine care. The day-of staff was a machine in the best possible way. Moving with precision, keeping the timeline tight, helping family, managing guests, and handling things before we could even think about them. Everywhere we looked, something was taken care of. Our vendors kept saying how easy Shiraz made their jobs. That’s a big sign you picked the right place. When we look back at this day, the beauty of the venue and the effort of that entire team will forever be woven into our memories. They didn’t give us a wedding. They gave us a moment in our lives that felt bigger than anything we’ve ever experienced. For us, Shiraz Garden will always be the place where everything felt right, everything felt calm, and where we got to start our marriage surrounded by pure magic.
