Always love the Gage. What a unique vibe in a special location. Just wish the rooms were cleaner. Dust bunnies on the floor and lots of mold in the shower. Once clean will be even better than ever. We love this place. Thank you Gage.
I stayed at the Gage after a girls camping trip to Big Bend! Check in was not smooth and the lady working was not the kindest. The rooms were beautiful, beds were cozy and the salt water pool is to die for. What turned the service around was Larry. Larry went above and beyond. He allowed to store breast milk in the fridge and did not bat an eye. Helped me find playing cards and answered all of our questions. He turned around a rocky start and made the world of difference in our stay.
Wow, what an absolutely unforgettable experience! I had my wedding here on the first weekend in November, and I can't believe how many people are STILL talking about it! Michelle and Meagan, our incredible wedding planners, along with the entire Gage Hotel staff, went above and beyond to make every detail pure perfection. The communication, attention to detail, and ambiance were beyond SPECTACULAR! Marathon truly leaves Marfa in the dust—the food, drinks, and the town’s vibe are simply unmatched. The historic charm of the Gage Hotel, paired with its cozy yet stunning Western chic decor, created the most intimate and magical setting. I am endlessly grateful to Michelle, Meagan, and the entire Gage team for making this weekend a dream come true. It was PERFECT in every way!
We planned our small (85 person) West Texas wedding from afar at the Gage. Michelle and Meagan worked with us from the jump to book fabulous videographers (31 Films), photographers (The Nichols), and the best wedding band anyone had ever seen or heard (The Mott’s). The venue appealed to us both for sentimental reasons but also because it was a one stop shop. Michelle and her team took care of every detail for us from linens to flowers to food and cake. It made wedding planning for two busy professionals a breeze. The flowers were stunning, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. All of our guests stayed on site and loved the accommodations - the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. All of our guests remarked at how seamlessly the day ran. If you are considering getting married anywhere near Big Bend, I can’t recommend the team at the Gage enough.
We didn't stay at the hotel yet....but attended a weekend festival on the grounds...and at the Gage Gsrdens. The amenities are amazing. The aesthetic is amazing. And the service was amazing. We intend to stay there on our next visit if possible. Highly recommend.
